EnTech provides subsurface diagnostics that offer a dynamic view of underground infrastructure. Our stacking technologies create a comprehensive system that supplies our clients with timely and accurate information enabling them to make informed decisions.
Water conservation begins with an Infrared Energy Pattern Analysis (IR-EPA) investigation of the suspected anomalous areas. Our IR-EPA systems detect specific energy patterns created by underground leaks caused by pipelines, underground storage tanks (USTs) and reservoir seepage.
The IR-EPA investigation can be complimented with Light Detection and Ranging (LIDAR) for large aerial surveys. Sub-meter GPS accuracy ensures field crews can easily locate leaks. We can investigate the entire system using this method without disrupting workflow and cut cost by allowing us to target the areas that need to be further investigated.
Each investigation can be explored further utilizing Second Generation Ground Penetrating Microwave Radar (GPR). GPR provides 3-D views of specific areas that require more detail than IR can offer. This additional information such as: composition, depth, and size of underground anomalies can help our clients remediate underground leaks.

THE PROJECT
A drought stricken municipality in the Southwest contacted EnTech to locate water pipeline leaks throughout their 150 mile water distribution system. They reported that their system was losing nearly 13 million gallons of water per month. In a town where the water usage is approximately 30 million gallons monthly, a 30% loss was staggering.
OUR TECHNOLOGY
Data collection for this project was done from a helicopter using our patented stacked technology which included visual imaging, Infrared Energy Pattern Analysis (IR-EPA) and LIDAR (light detection and ranging).
THE PERSONALIZED SOLUTION
We processed and merged the complex data to create a comprehensive and useful report. Our easy to interpret report lead to the best repair solution for our client. This leak was one of many identified in this project, helping this town regain control over its precious water supply.
Our licensed Professional Engineers help you evaluate, maintain, preserve, and extend the life of your water distribution systems and facilities.
EnTech can non-invasively pin-point problems & suggest repairs on most types of pipelines without affecting traffic, system flows or service with greater than 80% cost savings when compared to invasive testing & trenching techniques.
